The tract explains why the Bible is such a special and unique book and also why its message is so important today.

1. It is a book written like no other

The 66 books of the Bible were written by 40 different writers across a span of 1600 years – one message, one divine author.  Inspired by the Holy Spirit, men transcribed the mind of God.  No other book was written in this way.

1 Timothy 3v15 “All scripture is given by inspiration of God”

3. It is the most popular book ever

4. It tells us where we came from

The Bible describes the creation of: matter, time, space and energy; the Earth and its filling with plant, marine, bird and mammal life; the creation of man and woman, the definition of marriage and family unit, and personal responsibility.

Genesis 2v7 “The Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground”

5.  It tells us Jesus is the creator
The New Testament ascribes the creation of all things to Jesus Christ, God the Son – eternal in existence, almighty in power, and absolutely Holy.
Colossian 1v16 “All things were created by Him”

6. It tells us why the world is not right
God’s creation was good, but  with humanity came choice.  The first man and women disobeyed the Creator’s instructions  Their selfish choice brought sin, corruption and death into the world.  As descendants we also have sinful nature.
Romans 3v23 “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God”

7. It tells us death is not the end
Life can seem unfair and unjust. However, the Bible tells us death is not the end and God will judge the thoughts and actions of all.
Hebrews 9v27 “It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgement”

8. It tells us God came into the world in human form
The fact of God the Son coming into this world via the Virgin Mary is beyond human invention.  The Prophesies of the Old Testament regarding, location timing and manner of birth were all fulfilled in Jesus’ incarnation.
John 3v16a “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son...”

9. It tells of God’s free offer of Salvation
Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners.  His life proved who He was.  His death on the cross was substitutionary, that is He died in our place and bore the punishment for our sins.  God raised Him from the dead and Jesus is alive today.  He saves all who receive Him by faith.
John 3v16b “… that whoseoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

10. It tells us Jesus is coming back again
